At New Church, we believe that no one has more potential to influence children than their parents.  However, we also recognize that two influences combined have a greater impact than either influence alone.  The home and the church partnering together have the greatest opportunity to affect the lives of children and adolescents for the cause of Jesus Christ!

 

Our goal is to help equip parents as they pursue their God-given responsibility to be the primary source of spiritual influence in their child’s life.  New Church’s Next Generation Ministry approach is to provide a consistent second voice, so each of our programs are strategically designed with this philosophy in mind.  

 

Every Next Generation volunteer has undergone a thorough background screening and has been cleared and approved to work with children and adolescents.  

 

In Newbies, our goal is to help children Discover God at an early age.  Babies between 6 weeks and 12 months old are cared for and prayed over by nurturing volunteers.  Toddlers (1-2 year olds), and Preschoolers (3-4 year olds) enjoy learning about God through songs, storytelling, and group activities.

 

In Newkidz, our goal is to help children Discover the new life God has for them in Jesus Christ, Devote themselves to the next step in their journey of faith, and Display their faith by loving God and loving others.  We do this by providing age-appropriate experiences through lively worship, interactive storytelling, and small groups that are divided into three different age brackets: (K-1st), (2nd-3rd), and (4th-5th).  All small group activities are designed to reinforce Biblical truths presented in the large group teaching time.

 

New Church Groups are made up of small groups of people that gather together around the Winston-Salem area at different times throughout the week.  At New Church, Groups keep us connected, so we can build friendships, experience life together, and explore how the Bible makes sense in our lives.  For more information about New Church Groups, CLICK HERE.

 

At New Church, our desire is to develop strategic partnerships with organizations that are impacting the lives of the people in our community.  Rather than creating new initiatives, we feel like we can be most effective by investing our time, resources, and energy in worthwhile endeavors that are already making a difference.
